Well this stinks. It is beginning to seem like it is the EIS, which I have seen go south and fail to report - throw a code. You need a DAS hook-up.

See pdf for an overview - this is a dealer job.

Try a new key first. This is the cheaper option, and you look as though you need one anyway. Your ESM (Selector module) gets a signal from the ignition before it lets you shift out of park. if you are stuck to move the car, take off gear knob and pull back slightly while tapping shaft with a rubber mallot. lock will jumpp and allow you to put shift into N,m so you can push car.
Although it does seem that you may have damaged something with the jumpstart. (they don't like that)

While gently pulling the shifter out of park, strike the top of the shift knob with the palm of your free hand. Sometimes this will momentarily jar the solenoid out of the way.

When this happened to me a few months ago I received instructions from mercedes road side support to do this very thing but it did not work for me. I hope it works for him.

been using girlfriends car and putting off doing anything till i could get a recommendation of a shop to go to, well my friend josh says go to Blitzen Benz and that they are reasonably priced. so i call them yesterday and dude says it sounds like i put a fuse back in the wrong spot and that if i give him some time he will look up what fuses may have caused the problem and get that info to me so we could get the car started and avoid having to tow it. anyways he gets the info i cant make it work i tell him i'm ready to give up and have it towed and he asks where i am and after telling him he informs me this is close to whre he does his bike ride several times a week and says he will come over while on his bike ride before the end of the weekend and see if he can get it started.
so now i'm waiting but i'm pretty sure i've found my new mechanic, hell i didn't even think there were still people like that in the world

now i'll get back to ya after he shows up
