DOES CHILD OCCUPANT SENSOR NEED TO BE CODED

Hi I have an S320 year 2000, my airbag light is on.
The fault codes stored are: B1315-child occupant front passenger side; B1000-restraints system ECU-N2/7 faulty; B1860-ignition circuit 1 airbag driver 2; B1861-passenger airbag 1 ignition circuit 2; B1862-ignition circuit 3 airbag passenger 2.
As I'm sure you all have heard the front passenger child occupant sensor is always a common fault with these cars so I decided to replace this with a brand new one.
However after replacing it my airbag light is still on and all the same codes still present which will not erase.
Just a thought does anybody know if new occupant sensor needs to be coded (could that be my problem). Many thanks.
