A Note from your Moderator - - PLAY NICE

Folks,

While on this forum today I noticed one thread that had started running a bit amok. Folks were calling others names, insults flying, lots of negatives. At first I checked to see if I was on bimmerfest.com or hondaposer.com. I was NOT.

A while back I posted up a note on some threads in my fora that were beginning to look like the wild wild west. I clipped it for here.

That should not only be the way you conduct your forum manners but life in general but I am not your mamma.

Again, if you want to enjoy the more robust conversation on the benzworld forum family I invite you to play up at Off Topic. But come fully armed, know your facts and please, for God's sake wear a cup.

Now, if anyone has any questions as to what that means, please PM me. To boil it down into Bear's version of the 10 Commandments: Don't be a Dick.

I have sent PMs to several participants strongly requesting that ALL PARTIES act like gentlemen. PERIOD. This is your warning shot. REALLY. No personal slams. No cleverly worded insults. No insulting or denigrating other people's race, religion, beliefs, nationality or culture.

So if you have a PM, understand that the next step will be not being able to play here any longer.

I am going to leave this as a sticky for just a while so everyone can see it, then it will go away. Good behavior should remain a sticky, please.

I truly appreciate everyone's assistance in making this a very good and informative forum.

Thanks, McBear; I believe I have seen the string you're addressing, and it had really spiraled off into something seedy. There is no need for that in a forum that is directed toward sharing information about our cars.

Good advice for the whole forum, except perhaps Off-Topic.
