It does not have to be anything wrong . I had the same thing happen (not constantly on but about 10min on, 5min off) cose it was due for check up. Went to dealer , they check it over , reset my light and no problem since. I asked them what was wrong and they say it was just due for check up . I am not saying that this is your case , butit might be ....

And you believed them. Resetting does not fix any problems
if it is an intermittent sensor issue.

You are right , I had no choice but to believe them , and I told them also "as long as everything works as it should and it stays that way than OK " . Maybe they replace something or repair connection somewhere - I dont know .

It can only be the child recognition sensor in the passanger seat. It happened to me in both s classes and my brothers too. Everyone else I know with an S Class is just getting used to the red light in the dash. Welcome to the club. Repair is 800 bucks. Good luck. And dont jump on the right seat to hard. It will trigger the light again.

THIS MIGHT HELP YOU

Often dust and small crumbs of junk gets stuck in your seat belt buckle, get a can of compress air like the one sold to clean computers and spray it into each belt buckle...............it worked for me I have a 2000 s500
