I believe Almandine black is the official name of the color. It looks black at night but in the day it's more burgandy and in the bright sun it goes almost purple. I get comments on the color daily. I bought it in '04 in Los Angeles where the color was a bit more common. In Atlanta people seem amazed. I've only seen about 6 or 7 in the 3 years I've been here.
This is my latest addition. A 2003 S55 AMG V8 Kompressor Designo Graphite Grey Edition. 65,000 Miles. AMAZING CAR!!!!!! Feedback please. The rims were put on by the previous owner. What do You think. They are 20's but suprisingly, the ride is still excellent.
