Does anyone know where the fuse box is in my 2004 S430 4Matic? My auto door closing is not working and this thread stated to pull a FUSE that is for the this function. Or, I can disconnect the battery, but I can not locate that either.

Since you're new I'll be patient & explain. Most people will tell you to get a clue & read the other posts in this thread & to use the search function on this site.
Your battery is in the trunk on the far right side under the carpet/panel. There are 2 fuse boxes under the hood. One on the left side (driver's side) & one on the right side (passenger side). They are rectangular shaped boxes almost directly below the windshield/windshield wipers. When referencing parts on a car the proper way is as if you were sitting in the car (i.e. left side=driver's side/right side=passenger side).
The 3rd fuse box is under the rear seat on the right side (passenger side). You don't need to remove the seat. In my '01 S430 there is a small plastic panel with a courtesy light below the seat cushion (in the carpeted area). You pop out this plastic panel which holds the light & behind there you will find your fuses. I assume your '04 has the same light. If not there will still be some kind of panel in this area that you remove.
You also need to read the other posts on pg. 1 of this thread & look at the fuse diagrams that have been provided.
If you door issue turns out to be just a blown fuse you'll be lucky. But then you'll have to ask yourself why did the fuse blow in the 1st place. Odds are there is some other cause besides a bad fuse. Good luck..
according to the chart in my trunk there is a 4 fuse box on the passenger side dash board??my car is a 03 S500 and i cannot seem to locate it on the passenger side it hols fuses from F78 to 86

My power locks are not working. Which fuse would that be in the rear seat location? I looked at the diagram but could not under stand which fuse is for what purpose.... thanks in advance.
I never heard of a recall.
Airmatic (front struts in particular) failures are common in out cars.
Did any side of your car drop? Was your front lower than usual when you got the malfunction? Were you driving, or maybe it sat parked for a while?
I'd say to first make sure your front stirs are not leaking air. To do that u can observe the top seals (the the pressure lines come in) and do a soap test while you flip on the raised setting.
Hi everybody and thanks for help.
But can you please help me locate
" HEADLAMP CLEANING SYSTEM ----------------------------- electronic fuse "
Many thx,
doc
See posts # 6 and 12 at http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w220...ocation-2.html for an explanation of what an electronic fuse is. It is not a "fuse" in the conventional sense; and it is likely located in one of your SAM units.
