Exclamation Contact spiral Wires

Hi there, I have a question that sounds stupid.

My contact spiral on my W202 has "burst" and i cannot turn the steering wheel easily.

I have removed the airbag + steering wheel and want to remove the contact spiral.

PROBLEM : the wires that connect to the contact spiral. I cannot get them off.
How do they come off ?? It has a little black hook at the base but wont budge even when i lift it. Does anyone know how to remove these wires Ineed to replace soon.

Thanks
