keyless go

I have a 2002 S 400L CDI. My Keyless go started to give a reading on the cluster that battery was low,
then it would not work at all. i had it checked at the official dealer and they said it would be the EZS. But it was an expensive part and if it was not that i would have to buy it and keep it as it was made and programed only for my car. I cannot believe this is true.
It was not the EZS now i had to buy it and they are still investigating what the fault is, three days later. Any suggestions.

In case anybody was wondering the repair that fixed this vehicle was reprogramming/relearning the keyless go cards.

I think u mean the EIS. It has to get programed to ur car and then programed again by the tech.
