How to reset malfunction list on 2000 S430

Hi there,

I have a 2000 S430. I recently got the brakes done at a shop that wasnt a Benz Dealership.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the brake wear. Visit workshop message on the message display?

Thanx,

Shak

Hi, Shak.

You need a Dealer with Stardiagnosis Computer to clear the fault codes.

Cheers, Frank

RE: How to reset malfunction list on 2000 S430

I just had my tires balanced and rotated at a local tire/mechanic shop. I asked your brake question to them as its been lingering on my mind as well, to get the brakes done elsewhere when its time.

they said " on a brake job they replace the sensor and that takes care of the brake light or warning. They dont need to reset anything thru the dash displays or they dont need to go thru the starmark"

Not sure if this pertains to your exact problem. Hope it helps.
