Hi,
When I am stationary e.g. traffic lights, I can feel a very noticeable vibration throughout the front of the car. I have taken my year 2000 model to a dealer who replaced two ignition coils and some of the 24 spark plugs without any noticeable difference. The dealer also checked the engine Mass AirFlow sensor.
Apart from this the car drives fine and driving other than when stationary is superb.
Please can anyone who has had this problem advise.[?]

RE: s600 Engine Idle Vibration
Me too I have spoken to several people about it, i dosnt happen all the time though, someone sugested that it might just be a doddgy lanbada sensor, get an auto eletrinics mech to read the fault codes for you write them down and then ask on the w140 forum
ON THE LEFT SIDE SAM (SIGNAL ACQUISITION MODULE) OR FUSE BOX IS THE DME CONTROL UNIT.
REMOVE ALL THE PLUG CONNECTORS TO THAT CONTROL UNIT AND YOU MIGHT FIND IT SOAKED IN OIL!
THE OIL IS COMING FROM THE DEFECTIVE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR FOR THE CSO (CYLINDER SHUTOFF VALVE) OF LEFT BANK CYLINDER (7-12).
MAKE SURE THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS "ON" EVERYTIME YOU TURN ON THE IGNITION, THEN IT WILL GO OFF AFTER STARTING. TECHNICIANS USUALLY CHEATS BY SETTING IT TO NOT ACTIVE STATUS TO PREVENT YOU IN COMING BACK FOR COMPLAINT.
