The driver seat massaging system on my S430 completely broke down. The leather also has bubbles forming- getting larger and fatter everyday. And all this is happening when the car is less than two years old. My 2003 E320 still drives even when the parking brake is not released. The Tele-Aid, airbags and brakes malfunctioned from the first night I had it. I also have two Honda Accords- an 02 and an 03. Clearly, the quality and reliability on the Honda exceeds that of any Mercedes-Benz from recent times. Folks, if you want a great car with the best in quality, Honda is the brand for you.
Good Grief, I am so sorry because I know just how you feel. You spend this atrocious sum of money on this beautiful new car and it just zooms when you hit the gas. Don't get your hopes up, though, it is not reliable. I have been the owner of a 2003 S55 for 3 months. It is sitting in the garage now because the battery is dead. Tomorrow will be the 7th time I have had to jump-start the S55 in the 3 months I have owned it and out of that time I was gone 3 weeks. Tow of the times my car wouldn't start it have not been driven for 2-3 weeks. All of the other times it has been only 2-3 days. I have been reading these mercedes columns for several days now and I have seen where several mercedes have done just what you describe yous has done. I keep hearing that I must drive my car very often every 2 days to keep the batter charged. I do not drive a car like that so I am beginning to think I made a mistake in buying my s55 even though I like the way it drives. Kepp us posted on your car. I am taking mine to a second dealer next week. Wish me luck!
