A CA Dealer has an S600 with 4500K miles! It is Silver on Black and has an MSRP of $128,000. Is it too much? It has no option packages. The color is not my preference, but my husband likes it. IS this a good deal? The guy is asking 0 down and $2700 per month.
I wanna go with no. Because its used and it has not options and costs more than the base price of a brand new car. No way, just buy yourself a new model in that case.
Thanks for the input!
Here is what the dealer is saying:
"Oh mam you should get this car, it's at a very good price, you won't find another vehicle like it, it's our best vehicle. Mercedes makes only 50 of these a year. If you find one at this price, you'd be crazy to pass up this offer!"
Is it true that Mercedes makes only 50 S600's per year? He also said, that they only make 150 S55 AMG's per year. Is this true? I doubt it.
After we talked to the Sales Guy we spoke to the Manager and she said some crap about it being a new car. She said that it was their manager's executive car and that's why it had 7,000 miles, and the car was new! BULL! My understanding is that if a car has over 1K miles it's used! Not NEW! Who think that a vehicle with 4K miles is used? Is it just me?
Thanks!
I think its bull that only 50 a year are made. I would not buy that car. i think anything that has over a couple hundre miles is too much to be called new. They only say its new because it not titled as a used car, its not titled at all. I am gonna email a friend from a local dealer and maybe you could talk to him if your interested in a new S600. I will post tomorrow when I get a reply.
Thank you for being of much help. I highly recommend that any CA buyers should stay away from the House Of Imports in Buena Park,CA. Especially from Dianne(can't remember her last name), she is absolutely impatient, and in my opinion, does not want to be reasonable. Furthermore, many dealers are popping up with cars that have many miles on them. Quite frankly, I am disappointed that they aren't being reasonable on a vehicle, that hasn't been titled, but is still not new. Anyways, I hope to hear soon from you!
Thank you!
Im glad to help. If you are still interested I am sure that you could get a deal at Knauz in Lake Bluff. I know a sales guy and told him I would give you his number so anyways, his name is Joe Rupp from Knauz Continental Autos. His number is 847-283-6691. He is a great guy. Since I dont own a Benz, for my birthday he let me take out a S500 for a little while which was really cool since it was fully loaded. Nothing compared to the S600 but it was cool. Anyways good luck with the car, and post some pics if you end up with one! Even if you want to find out how many 600 models are made each year go ahead and call Joe. Knauz is an awesome dealership.
Thanks again Benzkid! I will call Joe. From what you wrote, he seems like a nice guy.
Jzaroh,I also find it hard to believe that only 50 S600's are produced each year! I advise anyone in California to stay away from Dianne at The House Of Imports! She is not a good person to deal with, the people at the Honda Dealer are better than she is.
Do you know exactly how many S600's are produced each year? I also had the oppourtunity to drive a 760Li, I was impressed, but the HP was too little for the price, and I could get an S600 for the same deal.
Thanks!
