Whats the difficult of wanting to change the bulbs in a 2007 cls550, it has the AMG kit on the front as well, wanted to change the lights to some type of white light not necessary HID, maybe a blue top silverstar or something, what would look good
Not sure if it's different with AMG kit. I just replaced my CLS 550 with HID fogs. Took all of 30 minutes with me stopping to get something to drink. Went in through wheel wells.
Yep. total of 6 push pins. 1 in wheelwell right in front of front tire. Other 2 on bottom of front facia. Once you pull those out (use flathead screwdriver to pull them out), you can then gently pull the plastic out towards you. When you do that, you'll see inside the fog lights. Just twist and then unplug the harness. I used HIDExtra for the lights. Great price. $60 shipped for h11 bulbs. Replaced light and ballast. They come with an error code cancellor for our computers. Only tricky thing is mounting the ballast. They can get hot, so you don't want them near the air hoses on the drivers side.
Hi - she was giving a discount code before. do a quick search on this site. free shpping. great service. I hung the ballasts from an open screw hole just above the side marker lights. tighten with zip ties, doesn't move or touch anything. working great so far for me 2 weeks.
ok so when i take the wheelwell down and look inside im basically looking for an open screw hole near the side markers? I wish I had a picture or a draw-up that I could look at so I know what to look for...kinda confused on where to look.
and what intensity did you get? 5000k or more blue? i want to kind of match the headlights that come on the CLS since those are pretty blue.

I simply cannot attach the damn socket into the housing. For some reason it just seems like its too big
I purchased the 8000k H11 bulbs, and the silver clips, the ones keep the light in place, will not reach over the bulb to their appropriate hooks, are you sure these are the bulbs?
i bought them off HIDextra.com and i even took the red rubber seal around the light off and tried but no luck
How in the world did you fit the clips over the light into the hooks to hold it in place?
