Angry WARRANTY QUESTION

IM NEW HERE, AND I JUST BOUGHT A 2006 CLS500. IT HAS 13000 MILES.
MY SERVICE G LIGHT IS ON SAYING IT NEEDS TO BE TAKEN IN FOR SERVICE, DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT WILL BE DONE ON THE G SERVICE?
I WAS ALSO TOLD BY MERCEDES DEALER THAT THE CUSTOMER HAS TO PAY FOR THAT, IS THAT TRUE? HE SAID IT COULD RUN BETWEEN 200 AND AS HIGH AS 600.00 DOLLARS DEPENDING ON WHAT IT NEEDS.
IS THIS CORRECT OR AM I BEING TAKEN FOR A RIDE ?
I ASSUMED A CAR WITH ONLY 13000 MILES AND ALMOST 2 YRS LEFT ON THE WARRANTY, THAT THE OWNER SHOULDNT HAVE TO PAY JACK****
I KNOW I NEVER HAD TO PAY FOR THIS SORT OF THING ON ANY JAGUAR OR AUDI I HAVE OWNED, IT WAS ALL COVERED......WTF ???

The service letters (A-H) indicate the approx. time it will take to complete the required service. The number services (1- I forget how high they go) indicate the actual services to be performed. With a "G" service at 13k miles, it should take approx. 7 hours and include services 1 and 3. Which, if memory serves, is a bunch of checks and an oil change. So you'll probably end up paying the shops hourly rate for the checks and then whatever they charge for an oil change.

As for regular maintenance included in the warranty, not with MB. Only a few manufacturers include that as part of the warranty. I imagine it's included in some warranties as a competitive advantage. My wife's Land Rovers included it, my Ford doesn't.
