Factory iPod Integration sucks. Suggestions?

I just bought an 08 CLS550 Sport with the AMG Package. I like.

Problem:

I have a 160GB iPod with about 30,000 songs on it. It is a royal pain to control the iPod with the factory integration kit. I would rather control the music from the iPod because it is much easier.

Possible solution:

Is it possible to get the AUX jack in the glove to work? I can care less about the iPod integration kit.


Any advice?

Yeah, there is a work around. This horse has been beat a few times in this forum. Do a search on "ipod" and you should find some info.

Just a note. In the '09 model the iPod is controlled through COMMAND and not the info screen in that gauge cluster. This is a much nicer interface than I have seen before.
