Hi im new to this forum but i got a 07 cls 550 about 2 month ago and i ordered 22'' mht forged 2pc wheels for it with perreli 30 series the guy said it will fit. after waiting six weeks to get the wheels he put them on but the front wouldn't fit he said there was a bolt that was rubbing it he had to shave alil bit of,so i said ok he shaved abit of it but he needs to shave couple mm's more to make it fit so i said stop let me look into it then i will let you know how dangerous or crazy it is to shave that thing down to make those wheels fit?and how bad will it effect the car in a long or short term?and wat kind of problem i might have if i go with it?
Click on my link below guys. I have 21" wheels. These wheels are perfect if you want a larger wheel, and they fit perfectly. I think tampering with that bolt to put on a cheap 22" wheel is just not worth it guys. And I'm just being honest, so if you are offended by this then I am very very sorry. I'm not trying to talk down to anyone or seem like I am better, but it really makes no sense to risk suspension failure and YOUR LIFE at high speeds for a wheel that does not deserve to be on such a beautiful car in the first place.
I would put 3 piece 22' wheels on a S class or BMW750, but not on a CLS.
Just my point of view, and I commend you for picking the CLS.

Peace.
I agree, the largest wheel I would recommend is a 21" for the CLS as any 22" puts a severe strain on the suspension. I am putting a set of 21" AM Forged wheels shortly and will post pics as soon as the car is complete. What up Khela..its been a minute!
