That's with about 50/50 mix of city and highway driving I assume?

Wow, that's driving pretty darn slow on the highway.

I have an 06 cls55 and although I can't tell you the exact mileage (we use liters here), it eats roughly 2.5 times more than my last daily driver, a porsche carrera (01, 996). this is under normal driving conditions with only city driving (not flooring it). it eats roughly 3 times more than my chrysler crossfire (non-srt roadster) and about .8 times as my 05 sl55. don't know if any of this information is useful to you but if you're looking at gas mileage the cls55 is definitely not a choice car.

just a guess, but i'd say your average speed was 59 mph over the 78 miles you traveled in one hour and nineteen minutes.
