I just bought an 08 CLS 550 Diamond White edition. When I start the car, a cloud of grayish blue smoke comes out of the exhaust. Also, when I passed a car the other day, my friend told me that some smoke came out of the exhaust when I accelerated. Is this normal or is anyone else had this issue before? I called the MB dealer and they said that it is common on the CLS. It is caused by the angle that MB cut the valves. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't getting the run around. I traded an '07 Lexus GS for this car and I never had an issue with it. If I pay this much for a car, I don't want it to smoke. Any advice is appreciated.
My guess is, it's because it's new, and all the parts are just being broken in. If it still does it in a month or so I would bring it back to the dealer..
