CLS 500 - sticky/unresponsive accelerator

Hi.
I recently bought a CLS 500 - 6 months old with c. 7,000 miles on the clock.
I love the car except that I find the accelerator rather unresponsive and a little sticky.
Is this typical with this car or is it perhaps a problem with my particular car?
Thanks in anticipation of any response(s).

Typical if you ask me. I bought the car for my wife, who hates BMW's. I like the car, but it pales in comparison to the responsiveness of the Bimmers. That's across the board with MB's though. This MB is sexy as hell, but it lacks edge from a feel standpoint.

So are you saying that your wife's CLS has the same "unresponsive" accelerator pedal?

from my experience, the cls550's throttle is not the most responsive of the cars that i've driven in the past (not sure how the cls63 in this regard--my guess is much more responsive!?!?). stock bmws have more responsive "gas pedals", while the m's (especially in the sport mode) and any stock porsches have very sharp throttle responses.
