Has anyone installed the MTEC Hid kit in the CLS?
How easy of an instal is it? The instruction manual that it came with is not helpful at all.
Do I have to do any drilling? Where do I place the ballast?
Any problems or computer errors?
i have ml350 06 and i bought it on the ebay. it says plug and play, but it is really hard to by myself.
I went to the local pep boy to install it. I bought 8000k, it works really great. fantasitc!!
good luck!
its not plug and play since they dont have adapters to fit the stock wire harness. You can either tap into stock wires or cut off the plug and use some kind of male/female plugs in case you need to replace the stock plug sometime in the future. There is no check bulb messeges because their ballasts have built in capacitors. I installed one of these on a CLK and it works good! I think the price is little too high, since you can buy cheaper kit and pair of capacitors and do it and you will have the same result.
Good Luck!

Have you done the installation yet? I just received my kit and as you mentioned the "instructions" with the kit are pretty useless beyond the basic wiring connections. I'm looking for some tips on removal of the headlight unit and the location you mounted the ballasts.
im also thinking of buying this. i am not going to install it myself, will the shop have any problem installing this because i heard cls kits are different than any other hid kits. any help will be appreciated thanks
ebay, seller: MTEC Automotive
I paid 310 + 35 shipping. It came within 3 days.
Not installed yet, it looks like a pain to install.
I want to find a installer that won't screw up the electrical system
