battery Drain on CLS 55

I noticed back in july of 05 an owner posted telling of a bad battery drain his new 2006 cls. The same thing has happenned to me about 6 or 7 times since I haved owned the car. It use it only happend if i let it sit for 6 or 7 days. Sometimes I would catch it in time with the warning " Battery Low all electronic funtions may not work" or words to that effect. In which case I would take it to the Dealer . Sometimes the battery would be dead and I would call the Mercedes Roadside assistance and they would come out and re-cahrge . This last time it only sat fro 2 days and I got the warning. I drove it to the dealership They have had the car for 5 days ( I never take a loaner as I cannot schedule the appointment as it is is in some sense an emergency). Anyway I am a patient man and the car is fun to drive and to most observors extremely good loooking, but this is getting old. Any thoughts from anybody, including any lemon law thoughts as I am pretty sure that I first took it in within the first 12000 miles and have had it in for the same thing at least 3 times (not to mention the 3 Mercedes Roadside Assistance trips to my driveway). Thx

just a quick question.

did you add anything to your car? i.e. audio? subwoofer? anything power related? and have you try purchasing a new battery?

the battery can be the issue. however if you have added anything power related to your car, that could be the issue also.

i've left my car for 10days + and no issues.

thx. no i did not. they have mentioned a nonstandard configuration on my phone sirius satellite etc. they say it was suppose to be outside the trunk and mine is inside (which seems visually much better). but i had nothing to to with such placement . they originally made the comment when I complained about how often my phone cut out and how often I lost my satellite radio in very benign conditions....... i got the car from one atlanta dealership but have it serviced at one closer to my house. which is why the new dealer may have come up with this theory.

maybe your sirius satellite was install inproperly. not saying thats the reason. but i had audio install before, and if certain wire are done incorrectly, it can kill your battery or put an error in your electrical system. these cars are very sensitive , so if they sense something is off in the electrical, you will experience errors. try replacing a aftermarket battery and see what happens. if it contine than you know is your car and not the battery.

Suggest bulletin S-B-54.10/162 APR06 to pinpoint closed circuit systems responsible for voltage drop directly at the fuse.
