I just bought a set of asanti wheels F 20x9 245/35/20 R 20x11 295/30/20 for my cls 500. When I took it to the americas tire to put it on they said the rear tires are touching again the plastic cover. When I called the guy who sold the wheels. He said that plastic cover needs to cut off. Is he bullshiting me or what?
Are the rear tires too big for 20x11 ? any suggestion would help thanks
what do you mean off set ? please explain ...I ordered the wheels on ebay from jw motorsports in bellflower ca. He told me the asanti is customed built for my car. The weird thing about it is the guy at americas tire measured the width of the rear rim and it came out to be 12' instead of 11'

Seems that the width is the issue since the most I have seen members use is an 11" width. The 295/30/20 can also be an issue since the majority of us have used a 305/25/20 rear tire. I would contact the place where you bought them and have them exchange the rears. Since they are a multi piece wheel, than its a matter of swapping the inner barrels of the rim to allow for the proper overall width.
