Hi Interested to read your post on unblocking the command system. I have a 2006 CLK (European) with tv tunner, mercedes blocks the ability to play DVD,s on the CLK (marketing ploy) even though the unit is the same as higher models, E class etc. Would like to play DVD's and also allow passenger to view when in motion. Do you know if this is possible ?

i jst enable video in motion a week ago. i quite simple when you know how. right u hav to enter the engineer mode for that.
1. Press audio button to get into audio mode
2. To access the engineering mode Press and hold the mute button, press and hold serv button and phone button (hang up phone button, the button closest to the eject button) Simultaneously hold all 3 buttons until you get a message on the screen which says "Welcome to Engineering Mode" n.b if the service screen comes when u press the 3 buttons together you wont get into engineer mode try again, it should stay on the audio screen until the engineer mode comes up
3. you will now be in the engineer mode with s-ware, h-ware, MOST.... softkey buttons on the left hand side
4. now you need to get into the secret menu which will appear on the right hand side of the screen where the softkeys are. to do this press and hold the “*” star key press and hold the “#” hash key press and hold the “<” arrow left key Simultaneously hold all 3 buttons as indicated above. n.b this combination didnt work on my dads cls350 so this is what i pressed the # key then while keeping hold of it press the * within a second and then keeping the 2 buttons pressed press the < key within a second and hold simultaneously until 3 softkey buttons appear on the right hand side of then screen with the first one begining dr.dist.
5. now you will have 3 new softkey buttons which are dr.dist, regcod, backd...
6. press dr.dist and untick all of the boxes now you should be able to watch video in motion how ever fast you are going. n.b when you come back out of an secret menu e.g dr.dist. the 3 secret menus disappear from the engineer mode screen to get it back just repeat step 4
7. Regcod - in here you can change your dvd region settings
8.Backdoor - you can enable mp3 playback (should already me enabled, if not enable it)
-enable lct feature(dont know what this is)
-enable hollandmmi feature (this is a law in holland where you cant type in a navigation address on anything on comand while the vehicle is moving)
Enable IPS feature (i dont know what this is)

Thank you for posting information regarding the unlock code. It took me less than a minute to set my 05 CLS TV so that is can be viewed by my passenger whilst the car is travelling. Thanks again.
It will only work on Euro units, S, E CLS. The above code should work on all W211 comands, I believe 03 or 04 and newer.
i thought w211 share the same comands as w219 ..please help me out here ..if so, this should unlock my 06 w219 comands and allow me to have DVD in motion
