Anyone know if the foglights on 07 CLS 550 w/ AMG sport package are able to be dissassembled? The driver side glass has cracked on my CLS and I'm looking to replace it on the cheap. I'm brown, so I don't have a lot of money to throw out the window.
the best thing would be to buy a new one, if you take it apart, and put it back together you would loose the seal, which would cause moisture to enter the housing.
What does " being brown " have to do with fixing a broken part ?
Are you saying that other races throw money away ?
I don't mind giving advice on this forum, but that was a very stupid comment.
and honestly, i think allot of members here are very rude.
Listen, homeboy. I'm just trying to ask a question and offer some insight as to what my situation is. I'm looking to repair this foglight at the most cost effective rate. If you're brown, then you should know whats up.
So anyway, does anyone know if the foglight's glass lens is available, or even replaceable? Or do I have to buy a whole new foglight? Either way, where's the best place to buy a quality part at a cheap price? The local MB dealership likes to rip off brown.
look man, you can't buy the lense, you need to buy the whole thing.
ok "homeboy", I don't mind your question, but your BROWN comment was not necessary, and if the local MB dealeships were ripping off brown, they would be out of business.
A huge percent of their sales are from the "BROWN" community. I think we would know by now if we were being ripped off. It was your choice to buy the car, no one twisted your arm, and if you owed a MB prior the the CLS, then you should be familiar with the cost of parts.
I'm tired of seeing people in general, no matter what race, complaining about the cost of parts and service at the dealership, but as soon as the new model comes out , you run to the MB dealership to go buy another one. If mercedes is a rip off, then why did you buy the car ?
yes, I'm BROWN, but no, I don't know whats up.
sounds like you should buy the new FORD Taurus, the SHO model.

You know, all you had to do was tell me that it's a 1 peice item. I don't really care for all of your other comments, but here we go:
If you have any ounce of brown in you, then you know MB dealerships like to keep brown down. It's not MB, persay, but The Man who works at the dealerships and are pissed off that Brown can afford a MB. I know it. I see it. I live it.
I am very familiar with the price of the parts, homeboy. I own a W140 as well as a CLS, so you don't need to come up to me like that. Seeing as there are some True Gs on here that like to work on there own car, I figured I'd ask someone here rather than goto the local MB dealership and deal with The Man. I throwdown for my brown people. What do you do for your brown people? Are you sure you are even brown because from my point of view, you are sounding a lot like a chump that don't mind getting abused by The Man.
I bought the car because I feel like it. What's that got to do with me asking where to find a foglight lense? You better check yourself, homeboy.
Don't ever tell me what to go out and buy. See, you got that "The Man Mentality" - always bossing people around and thinking you can walk all over brown.
If you had any ounce of self-preservation in you, you'd stand up for yourself and for your brown people, homeboy. Can't nobody keep this nga down.
So does anyone know where to find a lense replacement for a foglight on a CLS 550/AMG pkg besides this busta?
First of all, I'm not letting "tha man" walk all over me, because no one is walking over me.
i guess at your MB dealership, a Brown Man alarm sounds when you walk through the door, and all the prices for parts suddenly go up.
I laugh at this thread because you are making a fool out of yourself, and you opened yourself up to this. you claim that you only wanted an answer to the question, well if that was the case, you would have only asked the question without the BROWN comment.
and I don't need to resort to name calling, home boy, peace.
Again, does anyone know where I can get a lense replacement or a better deal than MB Dealerships on a foglight than said chump above? I don't want the foglight to start rusting inside.
I should also mention that it cracked while driving in heavy rains in Texas a few weeks ago. Do you think the warranty would cover this?

i suggest taking back to the MB dealers. they will usually fix everything that is wrong. i had a crack on my side mirror due to the weather in the mountain snow, they repaired it under warranty. As long as you tell him that you dont know what happen, and it just crack, they will most likely to fix it... doesnt hurt to try... the most they can do is say no... Fletcher Jones has been really good with all my MB, they replaced my mirror, rear speakers, headrest monitor, and other stuff.. as long as you tell them, "i dont know what happen, but i just notice that it was broken"... they make money of warranty work.
