I have really been trying to figure out what Benz to get...and it has come down to this and I would appreciate all the help.
First off, when does the 08' CLS 550 come out? What are the differences between the current 07' CLS 550 and the 08' CLS 550 that is going to come out soon?
I currently have a 2002 G 500 and I am trying to figure out when to get the CLS 550. Also, what type of payments should I expect on a lease for a 3 year lease with minimum 12,000 miles a year with A PLUS Credit with both 0 down and $5k down with anyone who might have leased one or have any ideas on this. Will the payments be substantially different on the 07' and 08'? I want all the sports packages and everything...I am definitely looking forward in getting this car and any help would really be deeply appreciated!
Is the body of the car also going to be changed any time soon? Thanks a lot again!

I had a CLS500 2006 and traded upto the CL55 AMG 2006. I drove an 07 and DID NOT LIKE what they did. The steering, brakes and suspension of the 07's was dialed down too much. Saidly, I guess the daily drivers with the Starbucks in one hand and cell phone in another thought the ride to too sporty.
I am completely happy with my AMG 06. My lease is 3 years and a bit high. I would google some leasing agencies for the best deal. You should be able to lease a CLS550 for maybe $1,000 - $1,400.00 per month. The AMG would lease for more of course.
I do wish I could get the bluetooth enabled system - but that came out on the 07'. The ipod kit is insanely expensive $800.00 and it's much easier to get a $10.00 aux cable from the port in the glovebox.

What the hell are you talking about? The 2007 CLS feels much more sporty than the 06. They lowered the suspension and dialed IN the brakes and steering for that, along with other upgrades like larger diameter/width wheels on the AMG-packaged 550. Maybe you must be one of those starbucks people on the cellphone who can't tell the damn difference between dialed IN and dialed DOWN.
My wife just leased a 07 CLS550 for three years 15K miles with a down payment to cover TTand L which was about 6k. The payment is $1450. The car has the Navagation Package, wood stearing wheel and trunk closer for extra's.
Oh by the way this is a great car.

wow i am surprised to hear about the high payment on a 550. along with my other AMG cars, i recently pick up a used 06 CLS 55 AMG. 5k down, monthly payment is 1400 on a purchase !!! i have yet to drive the 07, but i think a pre-owned CLS 55 would be a better choice.
I realize mine is a year older but when I leased my 2006 CLS500 new in '06 loaded, nothing down but inception costs I'm at $925...didn't know the costs went up that much...

Wow, I took over a lease and my 06' CLS500 was about $1100. I have since bought the car and Mercedes Financial gave me $2k rebate and 4.9% apr to keep the payment about the same. Maybe the demand merits them asking that kind of $$
