Warning light

Hello everyone! My warning light came on after installing new wheels w/o the tire pressure sensors. I have reset the main display; however cannot get rid of the yellow warning light. I am assuming that there is no permanent solution to this unless sensors are re-installed into the new wheels/tires? Am I wrong? Thanks!

find someone with a Star Diag machine and take the tire pressure monitoring system offline. The dealers won't do this for you.

You could also put the sensors back on the wheels, several valve stem options are available now that permit reattaching the sensors.

if the car came with the TPM system, you cant just disable it. the car has been wired for TPM and the system is part of the can network and works with other control units. even with DAS, you cant do anything. you have a control unit that will come up up on a short test. removing the control unit is just like removing the sensors, it will give you faults.

the only way to remove the fault is by putting the sensors back in and setting the pressure to normal.
