I'm planning to buy a 2007 CLS (white/beige leather, premium package 1, ipod integration kits & bluetooth module) within a week.
A dealer gave me this quote:
2007 CLS550 - Artic Whote / Cashmere Interior
with
P01 Premium Package 1
881 Electronic Trunk Closer
MSRP = $72,335
also with Dealer installed options
iPod Intergration Kit
Bluetooth Module
My Out of Door Price will be = $66,050 + fees = $73,432.31
1. Do you guys think this price is reasonable?
2. How come other fees cost about $7382? Sales tax(California 8.25%)may cost around $5449 & I think registration fees will be around $700..Do you guys have any ideas?
Thanks for the reply. This morning, I asked him to give me an "itemized list of what those fees" and, you guys see, the price gose down by almost $1200.
that's the price that the new car dealers (ie., dick dyer, westminster) on ebay are selling them for ~ $5,500 to $6,000 discounts from msrp. you are getting your for about $6,100 discount from msrp so i'd say that's the best i've seen basaed on advertisements. also consider that the (reported from edmunds.com) invoice on the car is $67,417; you are buying under invoice. take the deal and run! cheers.

I'm not seeing much of a price premium on this model here in the Bay Area, perhaps on the AMG but not on the base CLS550. Plus, it's end of the year and every sales rep is thinking about making his/her numbers for the year. $66k is a a good price, probably about as good as you'll find in state.
