From what I've heard the Renntech is adjustable, no others are, also it's the most affordable one. I have a Brabus module, its the perfect drop about 1 1/4"

i went with the RENNtech lowering module. i got it installed with the extra switches under the glovebox for 1415. totally worth it! i lowered it 3 inches, ride quality is still good and looks great. i have 20 inch vellano's on the way. i will post pics after i get them!

In the other thread you replied to you said you "lowered it 2 inches, ride quality is still good"...

I didn't think any of these modules lowered the car more than 1.5". At any rate, if you lowered your CLS 3" that would mean the bottom of the rear swingarms would be about 3" off the ground and have no suspension left. That's with the stock wheels/tires. Please post a picture, this I have to see to believe.

It could be that I have my facts wrong but even though I'm new to this lowering business I have checked out the range of different modules and they pretty much have the same specs.

I'm sure he meant 3 inches. renntech module lets you drop the car down to 2 inches max.
but then again.. if you don't believe it.. then.. :-S

okay, thanks. But what I'm confused on is when you say "drop down to 2 inches max" are you saying that it's lowered 2" from stock height or lowered to the point that the lowest part of the car is 2" from the ground?

haha...sorry guys, i mistyped that. it is 40mm max drop which is about 1.6inches. they guys that installed it said that it would lower it 2", but i measured it with both the dampening modes on and it was about 1.7". but it looks LOW...not the low that looks like the suspension is all chopped up, but very sporty and very aggressive.

i will post some before and after pics soon. the difference from stock is night and day (to me that is)!

Send a message via MSN to Kronborg
Kevin,
Thank you for the install tips. Where did you purchase the Brabus module, if you don't mind me asking. I found it on GMP Performance for $1,495, by chance did you pay less? Thanks in advance.

Your welcome, bought directly from Brabus, same price I believe, I know it wasn't less.
