From what I understand you can control your audio from the stock head unit if you go with the Rockford 360.2 and if you use the clean sweep you would have to install a volume controller. What is the benefits/disadvantages between the two.

I went for the Rockford piece which i received today in the mail. A buddy of mine is the local rep for JL and Alpine and he even recommended I go with the 360.2. I respect his opinion alot so I stopped doing research on the clean sweep. He mainly said to go with the 360.2 mostly because it is the simplest device to take your signal from your factory system into aftermarket amps. I'll let you know how the car sounds when its done.
Thanks, I think I will have to go that route as well. What type of amps are you looking to go with and what subs are going to push.
Can you run a 4 channel amp for the inside speaker and still control it from the head unit? I understand you can do the subs but I would like to redo the inside speakers as well. Please let me know how your 360.2 works for you!

What most owners do to keep it simple and sound good are replace the 4 pairs of door speakers and use a processor like the clean sweep or the 360.2 and use a 4 channel amp to power them. A second mono or two channel amp will run the subs. Most of the installers that I have spoken to bypass the small 3" speakers in the kick panel and let the factory center channel run off the radio. In any case, you will control the entire system from the radio. Tuning the 360.2 is really cool if you have a bluetooth device like a Palm or a Treo phone.
Two 10" would be my choice...if you have enough power to supply them with, the response and kick is out of this world! Like it when the dont just shake the car the whole time, but give you a kick that only last half a sec or so at a time.
