Cool Bluetooth Kit any good??

Hey guys

I`m due to pick my new wheels this Friday, I`ve been told by the dealer to go for the telephone cradle and not the new bluetooth kit as it is not very reliable.

I would prefer the blue tooth but if it doesn`t work whats the point.Any thoughts and experiences would be much apreciated

I have the same setup, Razr and the cradle and it works great. It downloads your phonebook, previously dialed and recieved calls.

I have a T Mobile Blackberry 8700 and it works perfectly and even downloaded the address book and they said it would not do that. The 8700 is not .yet on the approved phone list.

I have an 07 SL550

I picked it up today and installed it, which was easier than the dealer made it sound. I have to say that I wasn't too excited about spending $300 for bluetooth on a car that supposedly is bluetooth ready, but whatever. I have a LG Chocolate phone but it's a GSM version that I picked up in Hong Kong, not the Verizon phone so I was a little worried about it not working. Sorry, I couldn't handle going back to a RAZR just because that's what my car wants to pair with.

A couple of features aren't working right but I think it will sort itself out as it "learns" the functions, but it is a little disappointing because the phone works perfectly in my wife's '07 Range Rover (and I didn't need to buy anything extra for that vehicle).
