Come see Factory Nav work as TV

I shipped my unit out to Nav Tv and had it modified to be used as a TV.

RE: Come see Factory Nav work as TV

cost me $1000 , and I had to ship the unit out to nav-tv, i got it back in 2 days.

It works great, my installer used a switch to change from tv mode to factory mode.

while using the navigation, you can watch tv, and listen to the computer giving directions.

A switch ..... you must be joking. You paid $1000 for a switch ?

I paid $1000 to send the unit off to navtv to do the video input conversion, not for the switch, lol.

I see the conversion being offered for less these days, but I did not have other options when I did it a year ago.

But i will recommend it, no matter what you spend, becuse it is a very useful mod. later

Mercedes Benz have solved the problem too. It is called a Euro Head unit.

With the Euro head unit...do you put the DVD in the rear navigation DVD player or can you place a DVD in the head unit itself?

The rear drive is for the map and the front drive is for the movies.

The level of integration in a Euro system is slightly higher than the USA system thanks to the laws in place.

Generally, DVD capable systems are standard issue in the "rest of the world" in models W211 and higher.

The lower spec cars including the new M and R can have a rear seat entertainment capability.
