I traded in my 2005 SL65 for a black CLS55. It was a hard trade and I had to pay some major negative equity but I actually saved a LOT of money by trading down. It was dissappinting at 1st because I really didn't want to give up the 65, but it was the right move financially. Plus I can now get 4 people in my CLS. At 1st, I wasn't crazy about the car but after driving it for the 1st 1/2 hour, I started to get used to the feel and the great handling. very comfortable, rides low, very sharp steering for a mercedes with some decent feedback.
I absolutely love it now. I actaully like it better than the SL65. It is balanced well, and I find it a little more comfortable. I love the curves on this car and I think that they give the car a more european style, especially in the tail. Taking it slow for the 1st 1000 miles during breakin period but when I get past 1000, LOOK OUT BABY!
My dealer also has a Grey CLS500. That is a very impressive color on the CLS.
