Lol, thank you. And the car there offering me has a sticker of $42k. Mine was $53k. So basically I'm paying $2,500 for a cheaper car. I'm going to try and just wait a few more times and take it to the dealer. It's annoying but i'll show strength and do it. Besides my dealer told me that he "has never seen a lemon go through" I immmediately lost hope. Also he told me that when you take your car in for service, MB never puts the same problem on record twice. You could be in there 30 times for "Transmission Problem" yet under the reason, they put different reason. My dealer told me this is all because they dont want corporate seeing you took it in so many times and to prevent you from getting a replacement. I tried to see if it was true, I called corporate and looked at my records and OMG!! They only have me for going in 3 times and each for a different reason!! So my dealer was right. I asked to talk to the Corporate Supervisor and each time they were like "Sir how can I help you" "I want Supervisor" "Sir, Let me help you" they said there never going to let me talk to the supervisor because they're getting paid to work and they can "handle anything"

When you take your car to the dealer don't you have a service writer make note of the reasons you are there? I am always met by a service writer who enters on the form any or all reasons that I have brought the car to them. I don't understand how you can not verify the reason you are there. My signiture is always required on the form to verify what has been entered.
The service writer does make note of reasons. But I dont know what to do. Corporate never lets me talk to a supervisor and its pissing me off. How would I be able to approach them and tell them that I want full cash back or a better vehicle?I went in the shop about 6 times, nothing ever resolved, plus other problems as well.
well, if money is no object for all you 7-speed tranny problem people, then you could just trade in your CLS500's for CLS55 AMG's! the CLS55's have that perfect 5-speed. its only an extra $22,000.
hi snooky here i have a new cls500 and had few probs with gear change ,went back to MB and they put on computer and down loaded new licks etc for gearbox glitches!!!!!!!!the rugg idle was sorted to new AIR sensor!!!
They were very helpfull....
This is my best ever car,its the same colour as in the brochure!!!!red!!!with beige leather interior....everybody looks at it and ask what make of car it is!!!!enjoy...
I think they all do that. I had the same problem. It got better over time. A friend of mine got the same problem on his CLS500.
Just took delivery of my CLS550 three days ago. Seems as though all the tranny probs as well as their voice quality probs with the phone are gone. Everything works perfectly, I love the car.
I took my CLS 320CDI to service two days ago and insisted on solving transmission issues. Got new software for engine and transmission-it took 2 hours. They said that sw is september edition.
Shifting is now much much smoother and downshifts are far more adequate.
Hope it will last...
I had transmission problems not resolved by all the usual 'fixes' posted on here. I got a new transmission at 1400 miles for rough downshifting. The shift was fine until last week. Now 8000 miles later it has resumed with the very rough 3-2 downshift as it did previously. Initially, it was only rough while coasting, but now it is every time. The saga continues. Back to the shop this week (it has been in the shop 30 days in the year that I have owned it).
