Do you feel the same about Chrysler using Mercedes products?
Of course I do. Why should I WANT Chrysler to contiue to put out crap. If they can glom off of MB and it helps them better cars, then by all means, do it. Has YOUR estimation of the Chrylser 300s cars NOT gone up after knowing that they are 30 percent E-Class underneath? After seeing how their interior quality has tripled? After their fit and finish has visibly improved dramatically? After knowing the Chrysler Crossfire is basically a shrunk CL coupe? If not, why not? If one's company is going to be bought out by Mercedes, (and they were, no "merger"), then why should both companies not capitalize off of that?
Now, if you asked me about Mercedes initially being cheapened by the merger with Chrysler (i.e. W210, W220), then I would have said "No, I don't feel the same."

Don't flame me
I drove the Bentley last year. Not impressed. Brand new and had a few rattles. No satellite radio available. Looks like a Chrysler. All for the bargain price of $180,000. Was going to wait for the CL but after seeing the spy photos... Well.... Ummmmm.. Opted not to wait and GLAD after seeing it in person. Front end is bulbous due to the new Euro pedestrian standards. Looks MUCH better with the Lorenser kit. Still happy with the CLS 55k after a year.
I'm really not fond of the styling of either. The CL is much more car for the money and ranks among the finest in terms of technology. The interior is awesome. Had a 2000 CL and loved it.

This is a very easy question.1st off why drive a car that has invisibilty problem.Very soon many many people will own the new cl like they always have. The reason is these car depreciate so fast.Take the cl65 new was 179k the Bently165k 2 years later cl65 going for less than 85k the Bentley still around 135-140k .Not that cars are investments buy a car make payments on schedule and in 3years you'll be upside down.
you hit it right on the head.If your going to spend that kind of money why would you want it to blend in the crowd.Besides the cl drop in value so quick. With in 3 years you could sell ur Bentley and own 2-3 cl coupes
Bentley GT for sure or a Aston Martin DB9, The W216 CL is just too round and looks like a big Soap and has many features from the Current CLK which is a downgrade compared to the Sext CL W215.

why don't you test drive both and see whivch one you like better? dont know about the US but in Sydney Australia i've seen more bentley GTs then CLs...CLs are still heaps expensive...a cl65 can still get $385000 AUD..about $200k USD...a lowly early cl500 will cost $100k AUD...i need to move to America i think, got room for one more??
The CL is too round?????, and like a big soap??????
Take a look at the bentley in silhouette mate, that is a completely shapeless car with no discernible boot. I will give you the DB though.
