W215 hidden fuses revealed

There are a few important fuses which are not shown on the fuse chart that the owner is provided with, nor are they shown in the Owner's Manual. On the CLK-class models these fuses are termed Pre-fuses.

On W215 models there are high-current fuses located on connector & fuse strip X4/10 situated in the engine bay, and connector & fuse strip X4/22 situated in the trunk - presumably behind a cover. The purpose of these fuses is to protect the other fuseboxes distributed around the vehicle, plus the generator.

Fuse X4/10f1 (150A) protects K40/6, part K40/8.
Fuse X4/10f2 (60A) protects N73 (ignition sw system), A2/43 (COMAND).
Fuse X4/10f3 (150A) protects part K40/7, F3 (cockpit fusebox).

Fuse X4/22f1 (60A) protects part K40/7, part K40/8, N3/10, N73, N80.
Fuse X4/22f2 (100A) protects K40/5.

WIS drawings of the relevant battery circuits, and the location of X4/10, X4/22, plus random connectors on the vehicle, are below.

yeah i've had experience with the x4/10 blowing a fuse, not fun too find. and my indy mechanic at the time didn't know what the deal was either

if you can find the right size/current fuses you can just replace the single fuse that has gone wrong, or often times you can buy an entirely new x4/10 fuse terminal (which is what i did). replacing the individual fuses could've been a lot cheaper for someone who can resource these somewhat unique (but interchangable) fuses

x4/22 is located in the trunk, on the passenger side rear wheel well. remove battery cover and then the large piece of covering that stretches from the tail lights to the gas tank, then you should be able to look up into the wheel well area and see the fuse terminal. very similar to the x4/10 in design but these are NOT INTERCHANGABLE fuses.

Climate Control Fuse?

Is there a fuse for the temperature control unit located directly under the radio?
Fixed a shifter stuck in park recently, replaced center console, and no a/c function.
Took it apart again to double check everything was plugged in but no dice.
But I did regain the time on the dash, which did not work when I purchase the vehicle.
Any advice/help would be most appreciated.
p.s. already tried a new replacement unit no change. What am I missing?
Thanks in advance!

Found The Fuse!

Thank you all, and keyhole for posting the fuse diagrams. Do not know what cause it to blow in the first place, but was very happy to find it.
Open passenger door, remove cover from far right glove compartment area on the outside (you can't see it if the passenger door is closed), carefully pry it off with a flathead screwdriver and the fuses are right there! #82 a 10 amp fuse was the one in this case. Never in my life (so far) was I so happy to find a blown fuse. Thanks for being there everybody with your information!
