Does the BOSE system need to be in the fiber loop as I can't get any sound at all, and if I unplug the changer fibres the display on the radio says "no CD changer"
Also, the small 3 wire plug has 2 wires broken off - the colours are brown, black/blue and red/yellow.
Does anyone know what each does, and which locations in the plug they should be in?
Many thanks,

All of the audio components need to be in the fibre optics loop. hence, you should see orange f.optics cable going from amp to CD changer. Termination at CD changer is ok as it acts only as a ring.
3 wire plug at cd changer is a concern, because these 3 wires are
blue - control wire for cd changer
brown - negative
red/yellow - positive
without this wires attached to cd changer you will not have full ring, therefore audio system will have errors. Wires are broken possibly due to iPOD installation kit. Someone prior to your purchase removed ipod that used CD changer connections and forgot to wire back broken cd changer connections.
If your f.optics are fine and not broken, just fix 3 wires to cd changer and you will have your system back and running.
