Black CL500 with Black Rims, Smoked Tail lights, and Tinted windows

Hey everybody. This is pretty much my first real post but I have been wanting to do some stuff to my car. I've been wanting to see what it would look like so I decided to photoshop it a little bit. Heres the original of my car:

and here is the aftermath.

So, should I go through with it forreal?

This is too much black. Needs bigger wheels.

I don't think I could get much bigger wheels. They're pretty close to the car as is. And maybe you're right about too much black. What about without the black rims?

You can go up to 21". It would look better you paint rims (edges) in black, but center on wheels leave chrome or brushed silver.

I would suggest you get the facelift taillights.

Looks way better than those smoked ones, imho..

Keep the silver wheels. (If you don't like brake dust.)

Lose the chrome trim on the impact strips, door handles, and around the windows.

Facelifted taillights don't look nearly as sporty as the original ones. I wouldn't put them on my CL600 unless I had the grooves filled with epoxy & totally blacked out for a smooth look. (I checked into smoothing the standard ones on mine but they said filling the larger dual grooves would distort the turn signal light significantly.)

Later,
Tom

P.S. If you must keep them I'd definitely paint the "CL whatever" emblem, and chrome strip on the trunklid black as well.

Oh yeah you should DEFINITELY delete the front sidemarkers too.

Any decent body shop can fill the holes and run the bulb wires in a loop so you don't get errors.

I'm having mine done next week for like $250. :-)

Later,
Tom
