I am looking to add some new wheels to my 2003 CL600 and need some info from you guys. Apparantly, staggered set ups and/or sizes from various manufacturers vary quite a bit depending on whether or not the car is an AMG version or not. Does anyone know what number or letter, and its position, in the VIN number designates whether or not it is an AMG model. The car has wheels on it already that have the AMG stamp but no other badges and I would like to make sure I order the right ones.

For 2003:
The 6th & 7th characters in the V.I.N. have the following designations:
CL55-AMG= "74"
CL500 = "75"
CL600 = "76"
If your 2003 CL600 has the "CL2" Sport Option (#772) then it came with staggered width 18" AMG thin-spoke monoblock wheels, AMG-design sculpted front air dam, side skirts, and rear apron. The wheels should be 8.5J x 18" front and 9.0J x 18" rear. Offset is ET44.
