Don't know about the carbon intake, But K&N filters will make the car breathe easier and sound better You'll probably get a little better gas mileage out of them too. do the carbon intakes look like the factory air box or is it a completley different shape?

I have had these filters on my cars for years and many miles and have expierienced no problems what so ever. getting one for my airplane to at annual. I know bmw and porsche owners who use them with no problems. other mercedes owners no problems. unless you spray additional oil on them it's a myth.

I've used them for many years on my Benz's and have not had an issue and I've done hundreds of thousands of miles using K&N's.

i put this on my car and it made a big difference in sound and also in throttle response. i dunno how much horses it actually ads but when you get better throttle response that's a good thing.
