I bought it from American Service Center in Virginia. Its a certified pre-owned vehicle. You know, the fact the headlight assembly is broke and that it shakes, totally voids this car from being a "certified benz".
I will let you guys know what happens Monday. For now they told me to drop the car off and my sales guy said he doesn't know if they are going to replace the headlights but I have nothing to worry about.
Im not taking the car if they try to re-glue it. It is clearly broken and needs to be replaced. If not, they either take the car back and give me back my trade in and down payment, or they hear from my attorney. Again, a certfied car should not come with broken headlight assembly
I think you better start looking for a different car. Once the parts department quotes them the price for that new headlight assembly, they might be only too hapy to cancel the deal (No profit left for them??)
Picked up my car today and Benz repaired the broken plastic piece. All is good now.
One more question though....can you change the tracks of the CD you are listening to by using the steering wheel?
Glad to hear they took care of it. Regarding the CD player, yes you can, at least I can on my '02, once it's turned on. This is all spelled out in your manuals. If you didn't get a set with the car, I'd ask (demand, if necessary) the stealer to provide one. It could be an important issue at resale time. Good luck with your new ride!

My advice to you is to stay away from carmax warranty. They will most likely refuse to pay for warranty work. On the other hand they do sell clean cars. I was going to through the same thing as you. I ended up buying a 03 BMW M3 from carmax with only 19k miles for 31k. I to love the cl500 but I know, I cannot afford to fix it. The reason, I went with the M3 is because its a luxury/sports car. Also very reliable. If anything, I would rather buy a SL500 in your case.
