Swaping out CL tail and head lamps with the 2004 type

Have any of you swapped out your head and tail lamps with the 2004 type? Any problems,and approximate costs if you have. Thanks

They dont exactly fit, you need to get a specialized kit designed for the older cars.

The '04 tail light lenses should be an even swap out. The headlights are slightly different.

The M-B P/N's for the tail light lenses are:
R 215 820 0766
L 215 820 0866

The lenses are $187.75 ea from M-B.

They are also available for $279.00 for the pair plus $70.00 freight from www.ERNSTCARDESIGN.de in Germany.

I recently swapped tail lights in my 2000 to 2004 style. I now have no brake lights because the new style brake lights are LED. Is there a fix for this ???????? HELP!!!!!!!

Johnny, look on ebay or any auction for a used set of 2002 cl lights and they have the led that just needs to be removed and added to the 2004 lights. You might even have them on your 2000. I had a 2002 CL 55 before the 2003 I just got and the lights switched over no problem, I just had to remove the leds and add them to the new set. Good luck.
