Very excited to get my new-to-me MB. Reading this forum, it looks like I'll have a lot to learn about all the features.
Here are a few quick pics I snapped on the lot.
As mentioned, definitely a learning curve on these fully-featured, multi-optioned vehicles. I've had several previous M-Bs and I'm still not fully aware how to operate everything after 30 months of ownership. One feature you seem to have is the Lighting Pkg. which you're really going to love. Nothing to learn there...everything happens automatically.
I've been driving my 2014 since ... 2014. As I've repeated here many times, I love everything about it except the driver's seat, which is the super-duper bells-and-whistles version. Hate it, hate it. On the other hand, all the other bells and whistles, and I have them all except for that noisy panorama roof and the unnecessary 4WD, they are just terrific. I love my 2014 E250, everything about it. Except that godawful seat. I figured when I bought this thing that at my age (will be 70 soon) it would be the last car I'd ever buy. I drove my last Benz from 1986 to 2006. But then came that seat...
I'm curious, what did you own between 06 and 14 when you bought your new Benz?
What about the seat in particular bothers you?
The panorama roof is noisy, I'm starting to notice...the two young'ns in the back seat do love having their own roof glass, though Had no idea that'd be a thing until I took them in it for the first time.
Thanks for the kind welcome. I've had some time to log some miles since first posting and I like the car more with every passing mile. The ride is firm but not harsh, the engine is silky smooth and the steering is light and responsive.
I'm looking forward to the miles ahead and getting to know members of the forum.
Gorgeous car. I took delivery of mine in January and I'm still over the moon about it. Not much to dislike about it. Is this your first Mercedes? If not, what others have you owned in the past?
I had about seven years in between Benzes and very happy to be back in one. I had to get a couple tires done due to a pothole already (the fun of the AMG rims...), and I got a loaner for a day, an 02 E320, which was my last Benz. Couldn't believe how different!
Thanks. It is my first Mercedes. Before this I had a Volvo S80, Saab 9-5 wagon and some Nissans. If I knew how much I was going to enjoy this I may have bought one sooner.
