OEM Mercedes Accessory - Rear Entertainment System

Anyone have the rear entertainment system from Mercedes, not the factory installed ones but the ones under their OEM accessory that attached to the back of the front headrest. They come in pairs for $1900.

If anyone has them, my questions:

1) Does the audio play through the vehicle's speakers?
2) Is it a self contained unit or does it need hardwiring into the vehicle?
3) If no hardwiring, is audio via bluetooth to speakers?
4) How is the quality - 480p?

I regret not adding the $2200 factory installed option when we ordered our car. The DVD player in our other vehicle seems to keep our 20 month old occupied on rides. He hates being strapped down on the seat.

Not interested in aftermarket retrofit units.

We have the factory units for less than dealer price, if interested.

1. If connected that way, yes
2. Hardwired
3. No, via hardwaire or FM option. They also come with IR headphones
4. 480p

We sell them to most of the US dealers and MBUSA network
