I have the same problem too
i have whole bunch of chips on my grill, I even had a big chip and crack on my windshield and ended up replacing it, which insurance covered it fully.
The grill is not that expensive, when i was looking at changing it, it would of cost me about 500$ , depends if there is a radar sensor on your grill or not. But the chips are not visible unless you get really close to the grill.
I am planning to change my grill, because it has many chips on it as well.
I am also a perfectionist, there is nothing wrong with that.
I'm insanely OCD/Perfectionist/Whatever as well, especially with my Car.
Best thing I try and do is wait a day or two after looking obsessively at even a minor imperfection/s that might be driving me crazy, and wait 'till it digests. Usually, I get comfortable with it, and over it.
With the grille, no reason to replace is for a small ding right away. Wait 'till it gets bad enough to where it's driving you nuts, then replace it. At this rate, you'll be buying $500 grilles ever few months if you replace it for just one or two blemishes.
I am changing my grill to this, color black and i think the Mercedes Benz logo in the middle makes it sportier same as the color. Its only going to cost me less than 500$.
