Power to iPod adapter in glove box
Does anyone know whether I can have the power to the iPod adapter shut off when the car is tunred off? i would like to keep my iPod plugged in at all times, but I don't want it to charge when the car is off (battery drain). Can this feature be adjusted by the service dept?

zoso I just want to say thanks; I had no idea the ipod is continuously charging and draining the battery! Sure enough I just checked my ipod in the glove box and saw the MB logo lit up on the screen! Now after two weeks I just removed my ipod from the interface. I would think that someone at the MB dealership would have told us that the MMI is always live. I guess the 12V adapters (glove box, rear seat, and trunk) are always "hot" as well.
If anyone can figure out how the MMI can be switched with accessory power I would be very interested. Thanks to all.

I had the same situation with my 2009 ML.
The iPOD (nano 8G) will not continue to charge (once the charge is complete) with the car OFF but the light on the iPOD will stay on.
My iPOD goes into pause mode with car OFF and the Ipod screen is still on.
