CDC and enable storage compartment.

Hello sirs,

My brother has a W211. In a media workshop he has changed the Audio20 unit by a Comand NTG2.5 unit. They have removed the CDC unit (six CD changer).

Now he wants to use the free space to store some things, but the electric engine does not work without the CDC and the switches-block does not lift.


What can we do to make the switch block to get up and use the free space as a Storage compartment?

Is there a specific piece MB to use this hole?

Or some interface?

Yes, there is a part from Mercedes to be installed in the cdc space that is left empty. You can order it from your dealer. Is a very cheap part. Now, regarding the opening of the compartment there is no solution from the Mercedes. Threre is a solution aftermarket. There is a very reliable company in Germany selling those interfaces. I order mine when I did my conversion from AUDIO 20 to NTG 2.5. The intreface module was integrated withing the wiring conversion. The company is Kabel Daviko. Explain the problem and they will tell you what do you need.
