I purchased OEM factory Xenon headlights to replace the halogen ones that came with the car. They are complete with bulbs, and ballasts from the factory. They should be coming in any day now, and was wondering if there is anything special I need to do to get them to work? I assume they will plug into the factory harness because they are made for my car. Is there anything else that needs to be done at the dealer?
I bought the lights on ebay for 450.00 shipped, and it cost me 200.00 at the dealer for them to install them and code the car for it to work. Just so you knw it took the tech 5 hours to install them because the bumper has to come off, but i have a good relationship with the dealership and just paid the mechanic on the side to get it down when he had time. So I left my car with them fora week, and 200 later everything was perfect. Not bad for 650.00 total for conversion.
From what I gather, just version code. The auto leveling feature will not work as additional components are required for that.
I upgraded the headlights for my 2005 E55, and as you said I lost the auto leveling and the dynamic cornering featurs. what additional components do I need? where can I get them?
