Engine Noise Problem

Recently I experienced some strange engine noise. When sitting in the car, leave the engine running, I feel the engine has little vibration and some noise. Does anyone have problem like that ?

Last night I recorded this sound file. The one circle in red is where I hear the noise coming from. Very strong ticking noise.

A friend with a 2007 E 63 just complained to me about that same noise but his occur's during cold start ups. He has been to the dealer to inquire about it but he's disatisfied with the results of these visit's because he still has the tapping/rattle sound . So I will second your question here and also ask if anyone else has experienced these sound's with their car's? My friend doesn't believe that it is only his car with this ailment and after reading your post, I'd have to agree.

My friend just listened to your sound clip and said the sound you are hearing is just a purge valve/solenoid working. It’s an emission component. It will work on and off. Never constantly. He said there is nothing wrong with your engine so enjoy it . His car is a different story though and he'll be returning it to the dealer tomorrow to pursue the issue again.

Thanks for the reply. But I got one question to ask. Beside that noise.
I notice a small vibration.

Lets say I just drove the car very rough, racing with someone. After that.
When the car is idle and I am sitting in the driver side. I can feel little short vibration on and off from the engine area. Its hard to describe, its like shaking , STOP, shaking again...... something like that. It doesn't do that often but once in a while it happens to me. Do you know anything about that? I just want to make sure there is nothing wrong with the engine.

Well it would be pure speculation to try and diagnose what it might be . It could be a weak or bad motor mount or any number of things. Sorry but that's the best we can come up with .....
