Looking to buy an E55K - need advice!

Hi there, I'm looking to buy an E55K at probably 2004-2005 age. I had a 1998 E55 a few years ago which was excellent but had the tendancy to go through cash very easily with various fault. I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea what problems I should be looking out for when buying an
E55K?

Ditto that one. I pick mine up tomorrow. I followed the advice on this forum regarding extended warranties, and will be paying for that just as soon as I get the car picked up. $20k for a new engine is too horrible to even contemplate...

I'm in the same predicament need to pickup tomorrow or monday. I'm very worried with my purchase. If I need to spend 4k for 2 addtional yrs or warranty from MB. I wish I have a crystal ball to see the future to help you and others.
