Remote Battery Drain

I thought I was having a problem with the remote after putting on Ceramic Tint.

But after a couple of months, it looks to me that the battery in the remote is draining out too quickly every 2 weeks as when I cannot open the doors at all, I put in new batteries and no more problems after that. I need to figure out what is causing the drain.

Can anyone take pics of both sides of the CR2025 battery and how its held in place? I would like to know if there should be a plastic cover on both the - and + side of the battery (currently only on the Negative side). Also, I wanted to know if the metal piece going across the + (positive) side should be touching or not.

Thanks as MB wants me to get the car serviced to get another key fob and will charge the diagnostic fee + the cost of another key fob.

Don't have access to a camera right now, but if you want to PM me and send me your phone number I'll snap a pic with my cellphone and send it to you.

I had real troubles with the keyless when the ceramic tint was applied, the dealership suggested the tint and then the service tech blames it on the poor reception (funny, it's mainly at the driver's door). I am so glad my basic warranty is up so I can take it elsewhere.

Back to the battery drain, is it exibiting any strange behaviors at all like performing multiple commands in a row or anything?

No strange behaviors at all. I know that I can solve the problem when and if I put in a new set of batteries in. After that, everything works fine for a week or so, ...then same problem...

Going to PM you my infor and thanks for the pics.
